Extra Duty Solutions Acquires Law Enforcement Software Leader Jivasoft

Trumbull, CT: Extra Duty Solutions has announced their acquisition of Texas based software company, Jivasoft, effective June 24, 2019.

Rich Milliman, CEO of Extra Duty Solutions states:

“When we started our company in 2015, we knew we would need world-class scheduling software to be successful.  Our exhaustive search inside and outside of the law enforcement scheduling software space revealed Jivasoft to be the obvious choice.  No other software supplier offers scheduling software which is nearly as robust, customizable or reliable as Jivasoft.

We have had a close and very mutually beneficial partnership with Jivasoft since then, and it now makes sense for both organizations to come together to better serve both firms’ current and future public safety clients.”

Dan Ryan, CEO of Jivasoft states:

“Our pre-existing business relationship with Extra Duty Solutions allowed me to gain a clear vision into how the future of our products would prosper under the EDS umbrella. Combining resources with EDS will allow Jivasoft to continue to grow and to provide its On Duty and Xtra Duty customers with the outstanding, personalized service that they have come to expect. All current Jivasoft personnel, including myself, will be staying on to continue our 20-year commitment to provide the best software solutions and world-class customer support in the scheduling and off duty employment categories in the public safety market.”

When asked about key factors that played a role in the acquisition, Extra Duty Solutions’ CEO, Rich Milliman said,

“Police scheduling is complex enough; agencies want a system that is easy to use and just works. What appeals to us about Jivasoft is that that their software products are designed to fulfill the unique needs of the public safety sector without requiring endless hours, months or even years of end-user training and setup time. By adding Jivasoft’s On Duty and Xtra Duty scheduling systems to our offerings, we’re able to become a one-stop-shop for law enforcement leaders who want best of breed scheduling solutions and services.”

With recent office expansions across the country, new hires in both business development and operations, and now the recent acquisition of Jivasoft, Extra Duty Solutions has positioned themselves as the leader in managed services and software solutions for the public safety sector.
