Sergeant Smith was driving over a bridge in Manasquan, NJ when she saw two kayakers tip over their kayak. She pulled over and yelled to the now struggling kayakers to see if they were OK as a good Samaritan jumped from the bridge to assist them. Smith helped bring them to shore safely and then stayed with the kayakers until lifeguards arrived.
