Lieutenant Cornelius Rodgers

While driving home from the gym on his day off, Lieutenant Rodgers saw smoke coming from a nearby bridge in New London, CT. As he approached the accident site, he saw that a fuel tanker truck had collided with a car, spilling fuel that had caught fire. Despite the danger, Rodgers ran up to the mangled car to find that the driver was not only injured but also trapped inside. Rodgers was able to extricate the driver from the vehicle and move her to a safe part of the bridge right before the burning fuel reached the car and caught it on fire.
